Great Feedback!
Thanks to everyone who has participated in our discussion on youth martial arts. The information is invaluable, inspiring and motivating. Most schools thrive off the youth and family martial arts programs in their schools so it’s time to INNOVATE!

It’s Time to Innovate in 2010
I am dedicating a large portion of my time to the growth of YOUTH Martial Arts and taking it to the highest level in 2010. Thanks for jumping on board and investing your time to help our industry grow!

You wrote- to take Youth Martial Arts to the Next Level we need,

TV/Movie Media- Shows that feature youth martial arts in a fun cool way.
Celebrities- Youth Celebrities that we can promote and that will lead our students with good morals. Endorsements from youth martial arts celebrities.
Events- New and better run events that parallel other industries (gymnastics, X-Games) etc.
Clothing Line- Cool clothes kids can be proud to wear outside the school that represent martial arts like skateboarding and surfing.
Web- A website that allows youth martial artist to talk together, feel like they are part of something big and are motivated.
Magazine- Kids loved Kono magazine and it was one of the first innovative tools leading our industry to the next level.
Outreach Programs- Ways of hitting large numbers of students in schools and the community with cool presentations and products.
Better Designed Schools- Better looking posters, pro-shops, equipment and overall look.
Better Instructors- More professional instructors that know how to teach the youth in a cool positive way. Curriculum that excites the youth and teaches them the positive aspects of martial arts.
Let’s explore each of these areas! Please leave your thoughts on these topics and lets keep moving forward.

What will make youth martial arts grow like the UFC has?

Posted in Uncategorized on November 16, 2009 by rolandosborne

What can we do  to help youth martial arts grow and get exposure like the UFC has done for adults over the last few years?
Over the next few weeks I want to explore this topic with school owners, students, competitors, industry speakers and other leaders from other industries.
Please leave your ideas and we can set up a conference to discuss these topics and see how we can push forward and help our industry grow.
